Funds from the Title V MCH Block Grant help: Assure access to quality maternal and child health care services to mothers and children, especially those with low incomes or limited availability of care. KaBOOM! requires that any site receiving Imagination Playground™ through KaBOOM! have at least three trained Play Associates onsite at any given time. The final version was signed into law on August 13, 1981, amending the Public Health Service Act to create the PHHS Block Grant Program. Imagination Playground™ has been created as a set of parts intended to be used in conjunction with a Play Associate. Grantees use the funds to plan, implement, and evaluate activities that prevent and treat substance. Students must also be enrolled, or preparing to enroll, in a participating college or university within the states of West Virginia or Pennsylvania. Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant (SABG) The SABG program provides funds and technical assistance to all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. This grants stream provides funding to kindergartens to upgrade early childhood buildings and facilities (including playgrounds), and purchase equipment to. Play Associates will enable children to play in ways that would not be possible without a trained staff to monitor the resources. What children do will be the result of their inherent curiosity and urge to play. They might sometimes quietly demonstrate a different use of materials but there will be no teaching or schedule of recreation programs. Play Associates do not direct play or teach children how to use the objects or environment. Play Associates manage the space and the Imagination Playground™ Loose Parts, and they will be responsible for making daily safety checks of the entire site.
